Runway alternative: canvas, Agent and model prices
Considering a Runway alternative? A creative suite with a documented node-based visual editor and a conversational Agent that assembles and runs reusable production graphs, alongside separately metered developer APIs.
Canvas and Agent capabilities
SEELE TV vs Runway · checked 2026-10-23
| Comparison basis | SEELE TV | Runway |
|---|---|---|
| Infinite canvas | Documented: pan and zoom across a persistent board of images, clips, text and connected workflow nodes. | Workflows provides a documented pannable, zoomable node canvas. The reviewed official sources do not establish that its workspace is infinite. |
| Agent | Documented: an agent works with the current brief, board context and generation tools; changes and generated outputs stay on the board. | Agent builds, edits, discovers and runs Workflows in chat. It maps references to inputs, asks for missing inputs and can change settings. Standard or higher is required for running Agent-created workflows. |
| Agent scope | Brief and reference analysis; scene and shot planning; image, video and audio generation; board organization and conversational revisions. Review the result before export. | Build and inspect node workflows; Find and run existing workflows; Map chat assets to inputs; Modify resolution, aspect ratio and audio settings; Creative production skills; MCP connection to external assistants |

Official API Pricing & Costs captured 2026-10-23 lists seedance2 480p/720p at 36 credits/second and $0.01 per developer credit. This is a developer API rate only; no web subscription conversion. The separate Seedance guide dated October 19 (price note October21) shows 30 credits/second for 720p, a conflicting official page; a definitive API unit price is not established until the generation quote resolves the discrepancy. Web subscription facts separately: Standard $15/month or $144/year, 625 monthly credits; Pro $35/month or $336/year, 2250 credits; Max $95/month or $912/year, 9500 credits. Web Seedance 2.0 Pro1080p 160credits/4s and Fast116/4s are different configurations, not evidence of base720p consumption. Because the two official schedules disagree, this comparison withholds a definitive API unit price until a current generation quote resolves the conflict.
SEELE effective rates use the Pro bill and 6,000 Koin per month: Seedance 2.0 at 720p uses 20 Koin/second; Seedance 2.5 at 720p uses 30. Rates assume the included monthly allowance is used for that model. Annual invoices are paid upfront. Thirty seconds means cumulative output, not a single-generation duration. Missing evidence is not a zero price or proof that a feature is absent.

When to choose SEELE TV or Runway
Runway already supports agents and visual workflow graphs. Compare the particular creative workflow and keep API prices separate from subscription-credit estimates.
- Creators building reusable generation pipelines
- Teams mixing agent planning with manual node control
- Developers integrating media models through an API
Runway now combines Agent, Tool and Workflows
Runway offers different entry points for direct model control, conversational creative work, and reusable production graphs. A useful alternative comparison should start with the route a creator uses most. Someone revising a single image-to-video prompt has a different requirement from a team automating a pipeline. Access to a model name alone does not explain the surrounding experience: reference organization, editing tools, workflow reuse, and the way decisions move between people also affect the result.
The canvas has documented graph controls
Runway Workflows uses connected nodes with typed inputs and outputs, plus zooming and panning. Its guide documents media models, language-model nodes, utilities, and inputs, making the graph a practical automation surface. The sources reviewed do not explicitly establish that the canvas is infinite, so that narrower label remains unverified. A trial should inspect whether a branching production stays readable, whether output types connect correctly, and whether the team can revise a section without rebuilding the graph.
Agent can create and operate reusable workflows
Runway explicitly documents chat-based workflow construction, discovery, adjustment, and execution. Agent can take assets from a conversation and map them to workflow inputs, asking for anything missing. Running an Agent-created workflow requires Standard or higher. That is substantive agent support and should be reflected in a brand comparison. The distinguishing question for an alternative is how well its agent preserves production intent and exposes the steps a creator may need to change later.
Human review and execution are separate moments
The workflow documentation distinguishes creating a graph from running its media generations. It also explains that a generation approval mode can show model settings and estimated cost before execution. This makes a realistic comparison possible: ask for a product-ad pipeline, inspect the plan, then change one setting before running. Record whether the proposed structure is understandable and whether a teammate can locate the resulting files. This is an evaluation exercise, not a performance benchmark reported here.
Use the API price only for the API route
Official Runway sources currently conflict: the API pricing schedule lists Seedance 2.0 at 720p as 36 developer credits per second ($0.36), while a separate Seedance guide quotes 30 credits per second ($0.30). This page withholds a definitive unit price until a current generation quote resolves the difference. Developer API credits are separate from web subscription allowances. The Max subscription fee and its credit pool do not establish a web Seedance 2.0 rate without the matching on-screen consumption quote. Keep API budgets and subscription budgets separate when comparing with SEELE TV.
Read web subscriptions as separate commitments
The public pricing page lists Standard at $15 monthly or $144 annually, Pro at $35 monthly or $336 annually, and Max at $95 monthly or $912 annually. The corresponding monthly pools are 625, 2,250, and 9,500 credits. These facts describe subscription commitments, not direct API access. For production budgeting, keep each route in its own row and include the model version, resolution, duration, and audio settings whenever a specific generation price is recorded.
What to bring into a SEELE comparison
Select one existing brief with references and a repeatable revision, such as changing the product setting while preserving its identity. Compare the visible workflow, which steps the agent executes, and the manual controls needed to obtain an approved clip. Bring source assets and prompts rather than assuming a proprietary graph transfers automatically. The decision can then focus on continuity, revision effort, and budget visibility. No measured speed, quality, or savings advantage is asserted without running the same task.
